After last month's call out, six projects have been selected to participate in East of Moon's incubator program from September - December 2026.

The projects are:

Litrófan

Litrófan is a community-led organization dedicated to creating more accessible and inclusive opportunities for queer and neurodivergent artists in Iceland. Through creative projects, events and community initiatives, Litrófan works to support participation, visibility and inclusion within Iceland’s cultural life. You can follow them on Instagram or visit their website.

TIHOMA

TIHOMA (Terran Information HOrizon Manager) is a social media platform with the purpose of mitigating disinformation while providing navigation to the vast volume of digital information. It crowdsources evaluation from its community. We have connected with different civil society organizations (e.g., media outlets, digital rights organizations) and the platform is currently in closed pilot phase. The project is non-profit and will be open-source.

Blágarðar Húsavíkur - Blue Community Garden Húsavík

A new Blue Community Garden will be created in Húsavík harbour - Iceland’s first floating sea garden.
The project will offer hands-on learning, seaweed and mussel cultivation, events and workshops. By bringing together schools, researchers, artists and the community, it aims to strengthen local connections to the ocean, support environmental education, and inspire similar initiatives across Iceland.

ANG (Agent NGO)

ANG connects neighbors through equal weekly credits and verified safe public exchange points to keep everyday goods in active circulation.
Supported quietly by transparent AI agents for fair appraisal and coordination, ANG nurtures a dignified and sustainable circular community.

Innovation Ecosystems

This research project will explore the concept of Innovation Ecosystems to learn how real, natural ecosystems can meaningfully inform the development of systems of innovation, both in heavy industry and beyond.
